Harmony with people. Harmony with nature. Harmony with God. These three principles define the traditional philosophy for life on the island of Bali, Indonesia. And, there is no better place to experience these principles in practice than at the Ubud Monkey Forest Bali

Imagine the most beautiful temple. Now imagine this temple reflected on the surface of most tranquil lake surrounded by lush green mountains. That breathtaking imaginary scenery is likely what inspired people, more than 350 years ago, to build Ulun Danu Beratan Temple in Bali (aka Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple) on Lake Beratan, which is surrounded by mount Beratan and mount Catur.

My first time hiking 8km (1717m elevation) @ 2AM to Mount Batur was totally worth it! Our driver picked us up at 2:30 a.m. and we drove for an hour to the foot of the mountain. There were so many people climbing up at once.
